"Is there anything out there?" "Sure, somewhere. There are
other planets like ours in the universe." "You guys, stop those brain waves;
it's time to leave for the game." The four eighteen year old kids didn't know
it, but they were about to go on an adventure on which no one else had ever been.
They had all met several years ago at school in the Bronx, New York City.
Anthony and Anita hung together, and Markus and Nickie hung together. They had
formed a secret club, "4Pals," and had sealed their relationship with blood
pledging to be united until death. These kids were not stupid; they were all
computer wizards, and this was their common interest. Anthony nicknamed Magnum
was theleader. His girl was Anita nicknamed Star. Markus nicknamed Bear
and Nickie nicknamed Gemgirl both were black. They all also used other aliases.
They ripped people off with illegal computer scams, and stealing personal credit
information. They were "bad to the bone."
The adventure started on a hot
summer afternoon. Markus had just returned to the room after having gone to the
deli to buy some sandwiches. "Quick, go get Anthony," he shouted. On his way
back to the room, Marcus had seen two well-dressed men with long beards.
Pretending to go into a building he hid within listening range and used his
pocket amplifier to hear what they were saying. "These backup discs contain all
the data. They are sealed and coded so no one but Wolfgang or Hugues can open
them. In case of emergency you know how to contact us. Here is your money. Guard
these with your life. After we blackmail all the major religions and governments
in the world for us not to reveal the truth, we will pay you the rest. But if
you fail us, you will die from slow acid burns. So long, Nicolaas." "Star, call
Anthony again!." When they were all together, Marcus told them about the two
bearded men. "What's there bag?" "What's their big secret?" "What's on those
discs?" I tried to follow this Nicholaas dude, he got into a cab, and I lost
him. I don't know where the other man went. All we have to go on is part of the
address I heard. Somewhere on a street named Delausanne in Switzerland."
